a rainy miserable day

i was hoping to get all of my plants planted today. unfortunately, it has been raining all day! so the plants will have to sit in their containers for yet another day.
so since i'm cooped up in the house, i decided to brush up on my post processing skills. i posted this one a couple of weeks ago, i reworked it and i am really liking the results! what do you think?

6 going on 16!

i'm telling you, this girl is going to give me a run for my money. she can be the most lovable girl, but when she doesn't get her way...watch out!

for those of you that haven't.. is she not the cutest little girl you've ever seen? and her sweet little accent is to die for!!! i just want to scoop her up and squeeze her tight!

i may be a bit biased, but i think he is the most handsomest little boy ever! this is his last week of 2 day preschool (at the most fabulous preschool - thank you ms d and ms h for being such wonderful people), so i thought i'd take some pictures before it's over. in september, he starts 3 day preschool and then kindergarten...i know it's cliche, but i honestly don't know where the time has gone. i feel like i am on a rollercoaster...so much going on so fast...it's hard to remember the details of the
ride.

i had to show off my new external hard drive...cause it's so cute and tiny...and it's red! i've uploaded about 27 million pictures from my laptop onto it already - my computer is feeling much lighter! ;O) thank you to my sis who always gives the best gifts!

so, rewind to yesterday.
knowing he had won the battle of the pictures...he sits next to me on the couch and says in his sweetest 4 year old voice..."mama, you can take pictures of me, if you want". omg...how could i resist???




i am so disappointed with blogger...seems like it pulls all the color from pictures. so tempted to change blogs!

i just wanted one picture...

...and this is what i got! he looked so adorably handsome today. i asked him if i could take one picture - he said no before the words even came out of my mouth. i quickly rebutted with bribery. "if you let me take one picture, then i'll let you have a blueberry poptart" (which have suddenly become his FAVORITE new snack). he agreed....


fortunately for me, the bribery came with a condition - it had to be a good picture...lol!

happy mommy's day!

first of all...happy mother's day to my mother who is without a doubt the most wonderful mother in the entire world.

secondly, i hope all my fabulous mommy friends have a wonderful day!

i feel so incredibly blessed to be the mommy of 3 amazing kids. i can't even express in words how much i love them - they are my world!

emmie update...
she had her cast taken off on monday and will have her staples removed in a couple of weeks. she is incredibly melodramtic in the way she holds up her leg and gives you that "feel sorry for me" face, but yet finds it so easy to jump on the couch when i'm not looking...which she knows she is NOT allowed to do. i don't think we give dogs enough credit...

the wiggly tooth has fallen out!

she said, "mommy, can we take a picture of me doing this"...."i want you to post it so everyone can see that i lost my tooth". she's definitely not shy about expressing her feelings. whatever is on her mind, she wants the world to know!


i had to beg her for a picture. she always has something more important to do - this time being...she needed to get outside so she could play with her friends!
i can't believe how much of myself i see in this picture!

and then there's jayce who always gives me that "please just snap the picture and get it over with" look...

kindergarten spring concert

last night was her kindergarten spring concert. let me tell you, she is quite the little singer. she stood up there belting out every single word making sure that everybody could hear her. she was very animated about the whole thing too...so incredibly cute to watch! funny thing though...i had never ever heard her sing any of those songs at home.
before we left to go to the concert, she told me there was a little problem with her outfit. she explained to me that during one of the songs, she has to lift up her arms. the problem being...everyone was going to see her armpits (instead of saying that though, she just points to her armpit and starts cracking up)...what a nut! :O)
she truly has a way of making people happy!
